A very merry unbirthday: Kaydence

In October my PRECIOUS Niece Kaydence turned 2! 2?! Can you believe it?
Well, her mother is Martha Stewart Jr. and planned a sweet party (get it? sweet..?) with perfect Alice in Wonderland details.  Cupcakes galore! Mmmm! I want to re-live this day.

Aurora: Portrait

So I just stared at my computer for about 5 minutes trying to come up with words to describe how beautiful Aurora is…. and I can’t. She shines so bright in this world! I can’t even say anything more than that.
This past month she ventured to the Dominican Republic to work with young girls on a missions trip. Her heart is bigger than the entire Dominican Republic, I’m telling you.
We did this mini-shoot for her support letters and by the grace of God she raised enough to fund her trip. I’m 100% positive it was because of these adorable pictures. I mean…..

I love you Aurora Jean! Forever and ever. Thank you for illuminating my life. SHINE BRIGHT.

Attar: Family

This family session was a huge milestone for me…. it was the first time I drove up, around, and through the mountains! Hey, thats a pretty scary feat for us desert folk, ok? And yes, I did get lost. Yes, I did lose GPS signal. Yes, I did stop and get directions from a gentlemen (mountain man) at a gun store. Yes, I did pull into a church parking lot to pray and gather myself. And finally, yes, I did make it on time!
Lake Arrowhead is a beautiful city and the shining sun and golf course sure did this beautifully adorable family some good!  Let me tell you. If that sun didn’t hide behind the mountains 30 minutes into shooting I could have stayed there forever following little Aurora around playing simon says and blowing bubbles! I can’t wait to come back when the twins turn 1! Hopefully they won’t be so camera shy. Aurora can show them a thing or two because she really did know how to work that camera! I was impressed.
Thank you Nicolette and Richard! Your girls are absolutely darling and i’ll see you again in a few months!

Ameduri: Family

It was such a joy spending time with this semi-new little family. Juliet and Danny are completely and utterly in love with their son Joseph and I think that is very apparent in these photos.
I love when my clients trust me enough to let me pose them in  unconventional ways!  I always say, “Hey, if it looks awful we never have to do it again… but we might as well try!” And the Ameduri family was GAME. We even spent some time on a tire swing…. but those photos didn’t make the cut. Ha. I never said my poses always work….
Thanks for fun day, Danny & Juliet!

Amanda & Brandon: Tying the knot

This past summer I was lucky enough to assist
John Rozier on a gorgeous wedding in Redlands, Ca. John is a super talented photographer based out of the New York/ Philadelphia area and totally shoots like he’s from the east coast! I actually noticed a difference.  It’s sort of a “boom. got it. NEXT?” approach. Lots of fun… but hard to keep up with!
Amanda & Brandon were a great couple and they chose an amazing venue. Brick, wood, vine, AND plenty of dancing space? Gotta love THAT. Oh and they even saved their first kiss for their wedding day! How precious is that?!

Castellanos: Family

Okay, this family knows how to have some fun! They were cracking up, jumping, posing, teasing, kissing, laughing, competing, and just loving that beautiful Christmas morning!
I really felt like I was a part of the family during the shoot… I’m surprised I didn’t jump in front of my own camera! I’ve known and loved this family since I was too young to remember. It was such a joy to capture them with their better halves now. I’m so happy Natalie finally has sisters! Can you imagine growing up with 3 BROTHERS?! ;)

Thanks so much Castellanos Clan for letting Steve & I crash your Christmas!

Jana Griffin: Family

Rain, Christmas, family, old friend, adorable boots, dessert galore, dance stories, San Francisco stories, laughs, hugs, and of course some serious picture taking! Awesome saturday, if you ask me.
Jana is a dear friend of mine and wanted to get a couple photos of her brother, sister, and herself for her precious little mama for Christmas. I think that is the best gift ever! My siblings and I did the same thing too this year.
My favorite photos from this shoot were the candid ones because they just OOZED love. Oh I just love this family. Thanks for inviting me over, Jana girl! Keep enjoying San Fran!
